“Live the Dream……….gain an International qualification in Hairdressing as hairdressing is truly a global job”

Hairdressing is one of the most sought-after skill sets around the world. This is the only internationally recognised Diploma in Women’s Hairdressing currently being offered in Australia. The Academy of Hair & Beauty is the only college in Australia offering City & Guilds international hairdressing & barbering qualifications. We offer the highest quality training in Australia, and our training provides a spring board for your career not just in Australia but anywhere in the world.

What will you learn?

This prestigious City & Guilds International Diploma in Women’s Hairdressing recognises you as a fully qualified women’s hairdresser in over 80 countries world-wide and is issued by City & Guilds (London).

In your core units you will learn how to cut, style and dress women’s hair including hair up styles using techniques such as plaiting, braiding, twists, knots, barrel curls and weaving; creative hair design to create more themed Avant-Garde styles suited to competition and photographic work, as well as colouring and perming.

In your electives you will be able to choose subjects such as bridal hairstyling to create rolls, pleats, knots, twists, curls and other effects, using a range of techniques, hair colour correction, scalp massage, reception and retail skills.

If you already hold an Australian qualification in hairdressing, you will be able to apply to have your existing skills assessed and then undertake training if necessary to achieve this prestigious International Diploma.
